Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: April 27, 2026 Version: 1.0 Applies to: All Cast customers and resellers
Read this

By using Cast, you agree to this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"). If you violate it, we may suspend or terminate your account, withhold message delivery, and report you to relevant carriers and authorities. We enforce this policy proactively to protect our network, our other customers, and the people who receive messages sent through Cast.

1.Who this applies to

This AUP applies to every account that sends, schedules, or queues messages through Cast — including direct customers, resellers, and any sub-account a reseller creates for their own clients. Resellers are responsible for the conduct of their sub-accounts and must enforce this AUP downstream.

This AUP forms part of the Terms of Service. Where the two documents address the same topic, the stricter rule applies.

2.Prohibited content

You may not use Cast to send messages, host landing pages, or operate short links containing or promoting:

  • Content that is illegal in the jurisdiction of the sender, the platform (Lebanon, UAE, South Africa), or the recipient.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any content that sexualizes or endangers minors. Reports to NCMEC and equivalent authorities are mandatory and immediate.
  • Content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or organized criminal activity.
  • Threats, harassment, doxxing, stalking, or content intended to intimidate a specific person or group.
  • Hate speech targeting protected groups (race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability).
  • Phishing, fraud, social engineering, or any attempt to deceive recipients into providing credentials, financial information, or one-time codes.
  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, or links to such content.
  • Counterfeit goods, stolen credentials, hacked accounts, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
  • Misinformation that could cause physical harm (false medical advice, false emergency alerts, election fraud).
  • Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruiting, "get rich quick" schemes, or fictitious investment offers.

This list is non-exhaustive. We reserve the right to determine, in our sole judgment, whether content falls within these categories.

4.WhatsApp-specific rules

WhatsApp messages sent through Cast are subject to Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Commerce Policy. By using Cast for WhatsApp messaging, you agree to and bind yourself to those Meta policies in addition to this AUP. Where the two conflict, the stricter rule applies.

  • Templates must be approved by Meta before they are used and may not be edited after approval; you must resubmit a new template for approval.
  • Marketing template categorization is binding: you may not send a marketing message under a utility or authentication category to avoid pricing or policy.
  • Initiation of conversations outside the 24-hour customer-care window must be done with an approved template, not a free-form message.
  • Quality rating is your responsibility. If your sender quality drops to a flagged or low rating due to recipient blocks or reports, we may rate-limit, suspend, or de-register your number without notice to protect the platform.
  • Commerce restrictions apply to certain industries on WhatsApp (alcohol, dating services, gambling, real money gaming, weight loss). Sending such content even within Meta's general allowance may still be prohibited under our restricted-industries list (Section 6).

5.SMS-specific rules

SMS messages route through licensed carriers and aggregators. Each market has its own regulator and rules. Cast enforces them at the platform level; you must comply at the campaign level.

  • Sender ID registration is required in most markets where Cast operates (UAE, KSA, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, South Africa). Using an unregistered or falsified sender ID is grounds for immediate suspension.
  • URL shorteners. Public shorteners (bit.ly, tinyurl.com, t.co) are routinely flagged by carriers as spam. Use Cast's branded short-link service (slnk.ai) or your own verified domain. Public shortener links may be blocked at the platform level.
  • Loop, retry, and queue abuse. You may not exploit retry mechanisms to send the same message to the same recipient repeatedly within a short window in an attempt to bypass non-delivery.
  • A2P vs P2P traffic. Application-to-Person traffic (your application sending to many recipients) must be routed through Cast's A2P infrastructure. Disguising A2P as Person-to-Person traffic to obtain better rates is prohibited and is a form of fraud.

6.Restricted industries

The following industries face additional scrutiny and may be prohibited entirely depending on the destination market. You must disclose your industry truthfully during onboarding. Sending traffic in these categories without prior written approval from Cast is a material breach of this AUP.

6.1 Generally prohibited

  • Adult content, pornography, escort services, dating services with sexual content.
  • Cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD), psychoactive substances (whether or not legal in some jurisdictions).
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and any sales of weapons to consumers.
  • Cryptocurrency exchange promotions, ICOs, token sales, "investment opportunities," and unregulated trading platforms.
  • High-risk financial products: payday loans, debt-settlement services, binary options, leveraged trading.

6.2 Restricted (require pre-approval)

  • Gambling, casinos, lotteries, sports betting (legal in some jurisdictions, prohibited in others).
  • Pharmaceuticals and prescription medication, telehealth services involving prescriptions.
  • Alcohol and tobacco marketing.
  • Political campaign messaging during election periods (additional rules per country).
  • Religious solicitation in markets where this is regulated.

If you operate in any restricted category, you must declare it before sending and obtain written approval. Approved customers in restricted categories may face additional rate-limiting, content review, and reporting requirements.

7.Technical abuse

You may not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to access non-public Cast APIs or interfaces.
  • Use credentials that do not belong to you, share credentials, or sublicense your account.
  • Submit malformed, deliberately oversized, or recursively-nested API requests intended to degrade service.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Cast system without prior written authorization.
  • Circumvent rate limits, retry caps, balance gates, or any other platform safety mechanism.
  • Spoof webhook signatures, replay webhook payloads, or impersonate Cast in any communication.

Security research conducted in good faith and disclosed responsibly to cast@wayvzgroup.com is welcome and will not be treated as a violation.

8.Sender identity and impersonation

You must accurately identify yourself in every message. You may not:

  • Impersonate a brand, company, government agency, or individual you do not lawfully represent.
  • Use a sender ID that is misleadingly similar to a well-known brand (typosquatting on sender names).
  • Send "warning" or "alert" framing to create false urgency for promotional content.
  • Use a sender ID belonging to a third party without their written authorization, even if you have their data.

Sender ID disputes are resolved by giving the disputed identifier to whoever can produce evidence of trademark, business registration, or operational use. We may freeze contested sender IDs while a dispute is being investigated.

9.Monitoring, inspection, and content review

To enforce this AUP, comply with carrier and Meta requirements, and respond to lawful authority requests, Cast reserves the right to:

  • Inspect message content, sender identifiers, recipient lists, delivery logs, and short-link click data at any time and without notice.
  • Sample and analyze message traffic for spam, fraud, or AUP violation indicators (delivery rate, opt-out rate, complaint rate, content fingerprinting).
  • Hold suspicious campaigns in queue pending review for up to 24 hours.
  • Block or rewrite links that point to known-malicious domains.
  • Cooperate with carrier abuse desks, Meta's policy team, and lawful authority requests, including disclosure of customer identity, traffic logs, and content where legally compelled.

Our handling of personal data in this process is governed by the Privacy Policy.

10.Enforcement and suspension

When we identify a violation of this AUP, we may take any of the following actions, in our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • Warn the customer and require corrective action by a stated deadline.
  • Rate-limit the account, slowing or capping outbound throughput.
  • Hold a specific campaign or queue for review.
  • Suspend sending privileges across one or all channels (SMS / WhatsApp / both).
  • Terminate the account, including permanent removal of sender IDs, templates, and integrations.
  • Forfeit all or part of an unused wallet balance where the violation involved fraud, illegal content, or material misrepresentation during onboarding.
  • Report the customer and traffic to relevant carriers, Meta, regulators, or law enforcement.
No-notice suspension

For severe violations — including illegal content, fraud, sender-ID impersonation, or carrier-level complaints from operators — we will suspend the account immediately and contact you afterward. There is no advance-notice obligation in these cases. The protection of recipients, our network, and our carrier relationships takes precedence.

A suspended customer may appeal in writing to cast@wayvzgroup.com within 30 days. Appeals will be reviewed within a reasonable time. Reinstatement is at our sole discretion and may be conditioned on remediation steps.

11.Reporting violations

If you receive a message sent through Cast that violates this AUP, or you believe a Cast customer is operating in breach of this policy, please report it to cast@wayvzgroup.com. Include the sender identifier, the message content, the date and time received, and (if SMS) the receiving phone number's country code. We investigate every report and respond to legitimate complaints within five business days.

Reports involving child safety, imminent threats, or terrorism are escalated immediately and may be referred to the relevant authority without further notice to the customer involved.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in law, carrier requirements, Meta policy, or our operational experience. We will publish the updated version at the same URL with a revised effective date and version number. Changes that materially expand prohibited conduct will be communicated to active customers by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of Cast after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
